Going it alone is dangerous! Grab a friend and organize a party, because exploring the depths of Demeon requires strategy, chess, and teamwork. Award-winning co-op tabletop adventure for up to four players. By nature, Demeon is a fantasy roguelike in which up to four players can take on the role of hunter, sorcerer, assassin, or guardian. The characters, in the form of miniature figures, are mounted on an actual game board, which is placed on a table in the basement, Stranger Things-style. The gameplay is fairly straightforward, especially if you're familiar with the mechanics of most turn-based tabletop RPGs. Move your character of choice through the locked catacombs while searching for the key and the exit. While you can see the entire dungeon layout, the fog of war prevents you from seeing anything beyond your field of vision (within reason). Do you want to get into this room? It could be the healing spring you're looking for, or a mountain of gold that can be harvested and shared among the group. Conversely, you might walk into a room filled with a respawning wolf den, a horde of owls, evil elven archers, and a massive fire elemental. This isn't an exaggeration, either. I've often found myself in rooms where enemies outnumber party members by four, sometimes more, depending on each party member's location.
