A laboratory accident has landed you, a poor scientist, in a world of deadly machinery filled with fancy instruments and unique death traps. With nothing else to do, I hope to find someone else alive when I find my way home. At this point, it seems like a robot is searching the world for some reason, towards something that is still a mystery to you. The story is pretty simple for the most part. The only details you can glean will be from their last words and the hearts of the creators of the world themselves. It won't take us long to find out more. I find myself at least wondering what's going on at all times. Who built this place and for what purpose? Why are you trying to kill me? How long has this been happening? What happened? Is this an accident? Even after reading the entire story, I still had some questions in my mind, but I was glad to be there. The presentation is what really captivated me: the characters, despite their unique pixel art style, are not apparent if you look closely at the rest of the game. The environments look more like art pieces or concept paintings for the scenery than actual playable levels. The use of color and lighting creates stunning scenes that make my screenshot button pop. Most are lifeless, and while it's brutal and dark, it's paired with other perspectives that will make you sit up and stare at some of these places. I think this song could be put to great use. Most games can be played in silence without any metal scraping and you'll soon die laughing. When the stress level is high or when you're feeling sad and lonely, this works wonders.
