A challenging card game with decks of cards set in a Norwegian town in the 90s. Recruit warriors, draw cards and create powerful combinations. The world and cards of Skogdahl are hand-crafted and not procedurally generated, and some of the encounters between the cards you draw and the races are random. This allows the exploration to focus more on elements of the adventure game. What you do or achieve in one place will affect another place in the future. As you play, the world opens up with new places and paths to explore. You must defeat various bosses in the endgame to complete the entire game. Many of the races reveal an unsolved mystery as you explore the hand-crafted world. Skogdahls is essentially a rogue deck builder, inspired by new classes in the genre, but also with ideas from other older strategy card games. We introduce ourselves to the game, such as mission cards: mission tiles that you can play during combat. These points give you free benefits, or they can activate abilities that you can use at a different cost. Fans often form the basis of your card design and deck. Additionally, the cards you draw are static between turns, which is not common in deck builders like Wicked, allowing you to plan your turn and create combos right at your fingertips.
